As parents and teachers, it is essential to remember, there is no better age to form positive learning attitudes than the preschool years. Unfortunately, as many parents find out the hard way, you simply can't turn back the clock and teach learning attitudes to a teenager. We believe strongly, the learning attitudes your child acquires during their preschool years in Tumble Bees are the most important!

Keep First Things First When Raising Kids

Child development experts know: for preschoolers, acquiring healthy learning skills is far more important than mastery of specific skills such as cartwheels. In Tumble Bees, gymnastics skills are used as tools to instill learning attitudes while skill mastery is a secondary goal. In Tumble Bees, we keep first things first.....kids!

Tumble Bee Age Groupings

  • 18-24 mos - A parent/tot class centered around age appropriate developmental movement.
  • 2 yrs - Also a parent/tot format, but bigger excitement and bigger challenges.
  • 3-4 yrs - No parents needed for this age group. Using an amazing variety of gymnastic challenges, kids begin to gain a clear understanding of their bodies capabilities and limitations. As in all levels, we make sure each attempt is rewarded so the children associates ‘trying and falling short’ with what it really is: a natural step in the learning process
  • 5-6 yrs - This class consists of students able to handle a class which is slightly more “skill oriented.” Handstands, cartwheels, bridges, and more! These kids are gaining a broader understanding of gymnastics basics, while continue to build their coordination, agility, strength and most importantly, their confidence

What should my Tumble Bee wear?

Most girls wear a leotard. A t-shirt and active wear pants or shorts are OK for boys and girls. We prefer bare feet in order to make climbing easier. For general safety purposes please be sure that long hair is pulled back, and no jewelry. Food, drinks and gum are not allowed in the gymnastics area.

Why Take Gym Jam

Some experts say that the greatest benefits of gymnastics training for children are physical: the amazing power, the unparalled balance, and injury, preventing agility and grace. Other experts say that the benefits are to the mind: the perseverance, the poise, the confidence, the attention to detail, the
concentration. Which is right? Our experts know. The answer is, without a doubt, both. In fact, professional gymnastics training is a requisite for all kids who want to learn how to become the best they can be in life. Sound gymnastics training is for all kids.

Our Teachers

Our teachers are USA Gymnastics Safety Certified and specially selected and trained to safely bring out the best in each child by encouraging each child to exceed their perceived limitations. Without question, it is special teachers who have made Queen City Gymnastics the #1 children's program in Cincinnati for 25 years!

Gym Jam Gymnastics Curriculum

Our Gym Jam curriculum is based on USAG Jr. Olympic Program as well as our 35 years experience of teaching gymnastics to children. The Gym Jam curriculum is designed to provide a non-competitive, achievement-oriented program of life skills, conditioning and flexibility.

Which Class?

We use school grade as the primary variable to determining your child's class time. We then subdivide each class into logical, homogeneous training groups.

What should my gymnast wear?

Girls should wear a leotard or shorts and a t-shirt, tucked in. Boys wear shorts and a t-shirt tucked in. For tumbling bare feet are best. Hair should be pulled back for safety, as long hair interferes with rolling somersaulting and twisting skills. Please no gum or jewelry.
