PRE-K EDUCATION at Kids First TOO

While many other programs focus heavily on early academics, The HIVE focuses on what children actually need first because we hear the same feedback over and over from teachers. Children aren’t struggling because they don’t know letters or numbers.


Teachers say kids are struggling because they don’t yet know how to:

  • Listen and follow directions
  • Work independently
  • Feel confident trying something new
  • Function in a group
  • Regulate their emotions


Those are the skills that either make school feel manageable or overwhelming for a child.

And those are the exact skills we build every day through movement at Kids First TOO.


Our Pre-K program takes what we already do so well in our classes and expands it:

  • More structured routines that build independence
  • More opportunities for social interaction and communication
  • More intentional instruction that grows with your child
  • And continued daily physical activity through music, Tumble Bees and soccer classes that fuels brain development at the most critical stage


Because at this age, movement is the best teacher.


DETAILS

2026-27 School Year Tentative Dates: August 24, 2026 - May 21, 2027


Monday - Friday

9:30am - 12:30pm


  • Ages: 4-5 (Must be 4 to be enrolled per state guidelines – if your child turns 4 during the school year, they can enroll when they are 4 based upon availability)
  • Choose 2-5 consistent days per week for the school year


Curriculum will follow the early childhood learning standards from the Ohio Department of Education along with consistent daily physical activity including Tumble Bees Classes (expected Monday/Tuesday), Music Classes (expected Wednesday/Thursday) and Soccer Classes (expected Friday).

PRICING/WEEKLY RATES

Tuition is billed monthly and enrollment is for the entirety of the school year.

Charter Memberships as we begin this new program are available for 10% off monthly tuition / 12% off monthly tuition for 4-5 days per week enrollments. Must enroll by June 5, 2026.

Tisha Kossenjans, PRE-K COORDINATOR


We’re incredibly excited to welcome Tisha to the Kids First TOO family as our new Pre-K Coordinator!


Tisha brings a unique blend of heart, experience, and versatility to this role. With a background that spans early childhood education, music, healthcare, and mentorship, she has spent years building meaningful connections and supporting both children and families in a variety of settings. From leading preschool classrooms and teaching music-based developmental classes for young children, to serving as a classroom assistant across multiple age groups, Tisha has consistently shown a natural ability to engage, guide, and care for kids in ways that truly matter. 


Her experience goes beyond the classroom as well. Through her work in both healthcare and as a women’s program supervisor, Tisha has developed strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills—paired with a deep sense of empathy and responsibility. She’s someone who takes pride in her work, enjoys helping others, and shows up with a positive, people-first mindset every day. 


Tisha’s passion for early childhood development, combined with her training in music education and her background in preschool programming, makes her an incredible fit to lead and grow our Pre-K program. 


We feel so lucky to have her stepping into this role and can’t wait for the impact she’s going to make on our kids, families, and team.
